Jeron Electronic Systems, Inc. is a dynamic organization that sets the standard for excellence with our products.  Jeron is a leading manufacturer of communication systems for the healthcare, education, and security markets with an extensive base of distributor partners and installed facilities.  Based in the Chicago (Niles) area, Jeron has provided communication solutions since 1965.

This is a full-time, permanent position overseeing day-to-day operations of Jeron’s Production Department, reporting directly to Upper Management.  Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm at Jeron’s Corporate Office location in Niles, IL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

Production 

• Manage production schedules and processes to meet demands and support company goals
• Supervise, lead and motivate staff
• Monitor production processes to maintain and/or improve efficiencies
• Monitor component, subassembly and finished goods availability for present and future production/shipment needs
• Ensure engineering changes are successfully implemented
• Responsible for time studies
• Record monthly reports (inventory/shipments)
• Schedule outside processes as needed
• Ensure all quality levels are maintained
• Manage the safety program
• Responsible for the RMA repair center
• Liaison to inside sales to coordinate on-time shipments, establish lead times for sales orders/requests

QMS 

• Manage Quality System to ensure FDA compliance

Inventory 

• Review sales orders daily
• Manage cycle counting, resolve discrepancies, and report results
• Generate purchasing requirements

ERP 

• Utilize MRP system to manage inventory and shipping (domestic and international)
• Maintain build schedule based on history and anticipated demand
• Maintain BOMs, routings and costs, work orders, inventory
• Perform purchasing, returns, and credits

Maintenance

• Manage maintenance department and facility requirements

• Previous working experience as Production Manager/Supervisor required (Electronics Manufacturing setting preferred)
• Proficiency with all MS Office products & Crystal Reports
• High level of Attention to Detail
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication & Organizational skills
