Job Description

Reporting to our Chief Solutions Officer, Media Strategy you will create impact within our capability. This is a fantastic opportunity for an integrated strategist who is as comfortable creating ideas as they are in planning global paid media campaigns.

You'll help deliver strategic planning and new ideas for our most important paid media clients, and will be a strategic voice for Jellyfish delivering progressive leadership both internally and externally.

The Director will lead paid media pitches in MENA in partnership with the Jellyfish growth team and experience delivering successful and strategic excellence in global pitches is a requirement. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop insightful media strategies which demonstrate an understanding of important brand challenges, apply the latest marketing theory and inspire media plans which positively influence the brands we work with
  • Distil complex business and marketing challenges to unlock new opportunities for growth and deliver expertise
  • Identify opportunities for research and data to be used to inform strategic decisions.
  • Work with the market intelligence team to design, commission and analyse qualitative and quantitative research
  • Use brand health tracking, ad/campaign tracking, and segmentation studies to inform strategy development.
  • Provide big-picture thinking around cultural and consumer trends, initiate provoking discussions and ideas for your clients
  • Partner with media planning and practitioner teams to provide broad direction on which paid and earned media channels are likely to best support reaching desired brand outcomes
  • Inspire new ideas and fresh direction, whether in strategy, media, content or creative - keeping a constant eye on category, audience, trends and new news in digital marketing
  • Recommend appropriate brand or campaign performance measurement based on an understanding of Indicators and available tools
  • Collaborate with and draw on the expertise of the wider planning and analytics teams and media/creative specialists for all of the above
  • Ensure that briefs are inspiring, based on consumer and category insights,include a clear and single-minded measurement approach, and are following strategic goals

Qualifications

 

  • Proficient in collaborating with a wide spectrum of specialists and understanding where they can fit into defined strategies and workflows
  • 8 years experience within Media Strategy
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing brand, digital marketing,and planning strategies, with a fluency in digital media planning
  • Familiarity with working with data, understanding of media concepts and experience with qualitative and quantitative consumer research
  • Can define audiences and digital behaviours, drawing out hypotheses and fresh insights from data and desk research sources
  • There is no direct managerial responsibilities however you will lead with experience as a senior member of the team
  • Client-centric - You'll love getting to know your clients, developing long-lasting relationships and adding value to their business.
  • Analytics & Reporting - You'll be a whizz at using data and market insights to inform decisions and develop business strategies.
  • Team Collaboration - You'll be great at collaborating with team members to achieve common goals, valuing and respecting diverse contributions.
