Job Description

 

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000K USD and will be hybrid from our LA office, with the potential to spend time onsite within client premises.

 

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Client Partner to join our Emmy Award winning team, working alongside one of our exciting (new) partners - one of the world’s leading streaming services and a high profile, high value brand.

As a Client Partner, you will be dedicated to leading this key global high growth client, ensuring you and the client team strive for excellence on behalf of the client at all times. Maintaining a high level of client satisfaction, client retention and growth - with the help of an Integrated Producer who you will be working hand in hand with - and a core  team of creatives, content managers, editors and designers. As well as partaking and reporting into a core Leadership team, including our Executive Creative Director.

We are looking for someone not only with a strong background in client management, but also a deep knowledge of social media, particularly in the Entertainment vertical - as well as an understanding of processes for wider marketing creative delivery. 

 

Responsibilities 

Client Relationship & Commercials 

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of this exciting new key growth client.
  • As a lead, you will manage client commercial targets, contributing to the commercial success of this client - be confident in preparing Project/fee proposals for review, partner with Integrated Producers to demonstrate a strong sense of commercial responsibility, learn to treat client and agency money as if your own.
  • Monitor how the processes on your account are functioning and continually review ways of working - ensure resources are used efficiently and plan ahead. 
  • Continuously look for new opportunities to grow your client activity as well as lean into Net New client opportunities.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with all of your clients, from the juniors, right up to the Senior Managers. You should also be well known to the senior clients above this level - ensure you are forming relationships with both client budget holders and client influencers so that Jellyfish has champions/promoters within our client networks. 
  • Invite clients to key events/webinars, share success and case studies, keep client engaged with Jellyfish. You will be seen by clients as the lead voice, acting as a trusted advisor, confident and consultative every step of the way.
  • Provide support and coaching to an internal network. 
  • Be an escalation point for tricky relationships and help to diffuse and overcome challenges to retain clients.

    • 3). Be the strategic driver & innovator of the business.

Creative Expertise & Leadership

  • You will be a subject matter expert on social media creative, with a range of experience from retainers to campaigns. 
  • You will have delivered paid, organic and creator/influencer/high value talent projects for high profile clients and events.
  • You will be extremely detail oriented, mature, professional, adaptable, and have a deep knowledge of the entertainment space, social media management, social creative, talent relationships as well as being an advocate for the Jellyfish creative process.
  • You will have an understanding of the wider creative marketing industry, and feel comfortable collaborating with other partners in the delivery of production, activations, red carpet events and brand partnerships.
  • You will continue to stay on top of the latest developments, championing these areas and being a go-to person for Client Management globally. 
  • You will be an influential leader, embodying our cultural values and respected by other individuals - a brilliant and confident communicator.
  • You won't have a junior account team, but instead a strong support network and aid of an Integrated Producer by your side. 
  • You will adhere to client management and creative best practices.
  • Partner with the creative lead/s to drive the creative ambition of Jellyfish through all outputs.
  • Form a real partnership with the ECD. You should chat to them regularly not just about the day-to-day client work but also drive ambition and a growth mindset together. 
  • Invest time in the team and their well-being. You are a leader on the account, so it is important you stay calm under pressure, setting a strong example and ensuring that morale stays high and all team members and your role remains respected within the creative capability. 
  • Facilitate a strong trio (account, strategy, creative) to be an aligned force for the best outputs. 
  • Well-versed in interrogating a brief from the client and ensuring the ‘ask’ is clear.
  • Show creative empathy when collaborating with Strategists and creatives.
  • Support the Strategic partner to produce a strong, clear brief for creative.
  • As you collaborate with your creative team you too should obsess about the creative: Is it the best it can be? Is it on brief? Is it going to deliver the business results for the client that they want/need?
  • Partner and support the creative team to shape the articulation of ideas using client and brand knowledge to sell the best work possible - get under the client's/brand skin.
  • Be an expert at delivering clear and relevant feedback to the creatives and a partner in strategizing on how best to move forward.
  • This is an important strategic role to really own and deliver for the client business as well as our own.

Production & Delivery

  • Experienced in managing global accounts including from a production and delivery perspective.
  • Confident presenting to global marketers.
  • Able to navigate seamlessly between strategic creative opportunities and production-led opportunities from the opportunity engagement stage through to delivery and cross-sell, up-sell opportunities.
  • Have proven ability to lead agency work across the full range of comms, that may mean challenging things internally and pushing back on the client, but always with the creative  end goal in sight. 
  • Bring the energy to a project, even when things get challenging. 
  • Confidently present to senior stakeholders to successfully sell and defend the work.
  • Build a relationship with clients such that you can help creative sell incredible work that perhaps they weren’t expecting.
  • Agile in both planned and reactive activity.
  • Lead by example and share passion for good work.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years creative agency experience, with a focus on social media and content creation.
  • Proven experience of working in advertising or fast-moving brand/marketing environments, specifically across social and entertainment.
  • Somebody who is passionate about social media, entertainment and pop/cinema culture. 
  • A deep understanding of the following social platforms: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Giphy
  • Proven experience of running accounts without Account Management support.
  • A strong understanding of how brands can use social media to engage audiences online and build communities/fandoms.
  • A fierce sense of responsibility and ownership, and a commitment to delivering best practice and value at all times.
  • Adept at building relationships at all levels and inspiring confidence in successful delivery of projects.
  • Compelling written and verbal skills to ensure clear understanding of the agency’s proposition and to convey complex information effectively and without confusion
  • Articulate, incisive and able to build constructive and lasting colleague/client relationships.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to flex and pivot in a massively fast-paced industry. 
  • Ability to remain calm and collected under pressure.
  • Good team player; collaborative but also a good self-starter, able to work independently.
  • High level of organization with brilliant prioritization and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Understand what it takes to deliver when there is high value talent involved.
  • Be a leadership force in the agency.
  • You should always be up to speed on the latest news and developments in the entertainment industry.
  • Develop relationships internally with key point people within the Creative department globally, and have an infectious can-do attitude, which makes people want to come to you as they know you approach all tasks with a positive attitude.
