Job Description

As we continue to grow across Asia Pacific, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded National Business Manager (NZ & Pacific) to lead our New Zealand sales strategy and help drive the next phase of growth.

Reporting to the Sales Director ANZ, you will lead our New Zealand customer strategy, strengthen key retail and distribution partnerships, and work cross-functionally to deliver innovative products and category growth initiatives that create value for both customers and consumers.

Based at our Auckland office and manufacturing facility in Māngere, you will join a collaborative and high-performing team that values authenticity, accountability and continuous improvement.

The Role

As the National Business Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing our New Zealand and Pacific growth strategy across major retail customers and distribution partners. You will take ownership of commercial performance, lead strategic customer relationships, and work closely with Marketing, Innovation, Finance and Operations teams to bring category-led growth opportunities to life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Areas of Focus

  1. Strategic Customer & Distributor Partnerships: Build and strengthen relationships with key retail customers and distribution partners, identifying opportunities that drive sustainable growth and mutual success.
  2. Commercial Performance & Category Growth: Own revenue, profitability and market share outcomes while leveraging consumer insights, market trends and category expertise to accelerate growth.
  3. Strategic Planning & Business Development: Develop and execute long-term growth strategies for New Zealand and the Pacific, using market analysis and customer insights to shape future opportunities.
  4. Innovation & Customer Activation: Partner with Marketing and Innovation teams to deliver successful product launches, customer plans and activation strategies that meet consumer and customer needs.
  5. Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach and develop the New Zealand Sales Team, fostering a high-performance culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

About You

You are a commercially driven FMCG professional who enjoys building strong relationships, identifying growth opportunities and delivering results. You bring a strategic mindset while remaining hands-on and customer-focused.

You will have:

  • Experience in a National Account Manager, Senior National Account Manager or National Business Manager role within FMCG
  • Strong customer management experience, ideally across major New Zealand grocery customers such as Woolworths and Foodstuffs
  • Experience managing commercial plans, forecasting, trade investment and P&L performance
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Leadership experience, or a demonstrated ability to coach and develop others
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or a related discipline
  • Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
