Health & Safety Business Partner APAC
- Full-time
- Sub-Department: HR General
- Department: HR
Company Description
Join our collaborative and results-driven team in Mangere, Auckland, New Zealand where planning excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
At Jack Link’s, we embrace the wild side. We’re not afraid to challenge the status quo, adapt quickly, and put in the hard work required to deliver results. What started as a family recipe has grown into a global FMCG business with strong momentum across the APAC region.
Job Description
At Jack Link’s, our safety commitment is “Love Your Work” — putting people at the heart of everything we do. We’re now looking for an experienced, hands-on Health & Safety Business Partner – APAC to join our team, based at our Mangere manufacturing site.
This is a high impact operational, on-the-ground role. You’ll bring strong manufacturing H&S expertise and work side by side with operational leaders to embed safety, wellbeing and injury management into everyday work — ensuring our people go home safe and well, every day.
The Role
As the H&S Business Partner, you’ll proactively champion a safety-first culture across our Auckland and Casino (NSW) sites. Working closely with Production, Operations and HR teams, you’ll define, drive and continuously improve Health & Safety, wellbeing and injury management frameworks, systems and reporting across the APAC region.
You’ll partner closely with onsite HR teams, and operational leaders — coaching, influencing and upskilling them in best practice while keeping solutions practical, fit-for-purpose and grounded in real manufacturing environments.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being visible on the floor, building relationships, and making things work in practice — not just on paper.
Key Areas of Focus:
H&S and Wellbeing Best Practice
Champion, educate and partner with leaders and teams to embed safe ways of working into daily operations. You’ll take the time to understand our processes, risks and challenges to provide tailored, pragmatic advice that supports both safety and productivity.
Hazard and Incident Management
Support the design and delivery of H&S and wellbeing strategies, hazard controls and systems. Lead and support robust incident reporting and investigations, working with leaders to drive meaningful corrective actions.
Reporting and Insights
Own Health & Safety reporting across APAC, providing clear, actionable insights that drive continuous improvement. Lead incident investigations, ensure follow‑through on actions, and partner with ACC and injury management providers to support effective return‑to‑work outcomes.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement
Ensure compliance with New Zealand Health & Safety and Employment legislation, with oversight of Australian H&S requirements (experience here is advantageous). Use data and insights to identify emerging risks, strengthen governance, and continuously improve systems and outcomes.
Wellbeing and Care
Champion wellbeing initiatives that strengthen resilience, connection and care for our people, bringing fresh thinking to how we support mental, physical and workplace wellbeing.
Qualifications
3–5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Business Partner or similar role
Strong experience in manufacturing, production or industrial environments
Solid understanding of New Zealand H&S and Employment legislation (Australian experience is a plus)
Hands-on experience with H&S systems, incident investigations, risk assessments, injury management and ACC processes
Strong reporting, analysis and communication skills
A practical, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to influence and drive change
The ability to challenge the status quo while working collaboratively with leaders and teams
Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety or a related field
A down-to-earth, approachable style and genuine enjoyment working with people and being part of the team
