Due to internal team movements, we have an exciting permanent opportunity for a skilled engineer experienced in high-speed Packaging and Maintenance space to join our team. Reporting to the Engineering manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance of food packaging machinery and equipment, especially in a fast-paced production environment. 

What you will be involved in:

• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. 
• Diagnose and trouble shoot equipment malfunctions, and perform repairs as needed. Ensure machines operate safely according to NZ safety regulations.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance of machines
• Periodical reviews of preventive and predictive maintenance programs in collaboration with engineering and production
• Establishing and monitoring programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques
• Co-ordination of maintenance activities with production teams.

Who are we looking for:

• A proven manufacturing background in an environment with a strong focus on high-speed packaging
• Mechanical trade or engineering qualifications or equivalent professional experience in the field of engineering
• Previous experience in food manufacturing highly desirable
• Proactive and confident work style with a desire to roll up your sleeves and get involved.
