Job Description

You will be part of a global network infrastructure team that provides the backbone in ensuring that high quality meat snacks are produced and distributed all over the world. In this role, you'll be developing and maintaining the network automation tools used to configure and manage data center, cloud, manufacturing, and campus networks that are available and running 24x7. Responsibilities include developing automated configurations, maintaining playbooks, leveraging network restful API for automation, fixing connectivity issues, and implementing security across our current and next generation platforms. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Partner within IT and manufacturing to Design, build, and implement innovative software solutions for the automation of physical and cloud-based networks and infrastructure across the enterprise.
  • Design, build and lead the implementation of network and infrastructure deployment projects through the use of automation.
  • Ensure and enhance the security posture of networks and infrastructure by partnering with global security and adhering to policies and procedures
  • Engineer and deploy solutions for route/switch, firewalls, WAN, WLAN, and cloud technologies.
  • Design, build and maintain network configuration management tools, monitoring, automation tools, and workflows
  • Find opportunities and implement solutions to improve availability, reliability, efficiency, performance, and overall service.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation of technical solutions and communicate plans to management
  • Provide level 2 and level 3 support and participate in the on-call rotation.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • 3-5 years experience with network automation platforms and API’s (such as Terraform, Ansible, Netbox, Chef, Puppet)
  • Expertise with one or more scripting languages (such as Python, etc.)
  • Ability to break down a manual process into an automated workflow.
  • 5+ years experience operating a network; in-depth knowledge of network topology, subnetting, routing, switching, data flows, etc.
  • 3+ years experience with Azure network architecture and integration (Terraform, Ansible, etc)
  • Expertise with LAN/WAN routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Expertise with TCP/IP networking, troubleshooting, and analysis and working knowledge of modern Cisco platforms/software/practices (e.g. Catalyst, Nexus)
  • Working knowledge of modern Firewall platforms/software/practices (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, ASA)
