Job Description

As our supply planner, you will work in a highly-visible role with a cross-functional team including demand planning, production planning, manufacturing (including kitting and repacking) partners to create production and/or fulfillment plans. These plans will support the forecasted demand while maintaining adequate levels of inventory across our network. Additionally, you will ensure the manufacturing sites and distribution centers are aligned to production and fulfillment plans and communicate supply constraints back to the organization. 

Specifically, you will:

  • Develop weekly/monthly supply plans as an input to the S&OP process
  • Manage various ad-hoc reports from large, complex data sets using Excel 
  • Review and revise production and fulfillment plans as required by changes in the sales forecast or manufacturing schedules
  • Act as a liaison between Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, & Marketing and functions, communicating and troubleshooting issues, problems and concerns
  • Continuously review the shipments vs. forecast and tactically adjust plans as needed.
  • Work with manufacturing as required to support warehouse capacity and resource planning.
  • Assist in expediting production or inventory receipts, when necessary, to support customer order fulfillment in tight supply or out of stock situations.
  • Provide assistance to management/departments on matters related to production or fulfillment planning and forecasting.
  • Effectively participate in supply chain projects to deliver expected outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following education, skills and experiences: 

  • Bachelors Degree in business, supply chain or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • APICS or equivalent supply chain certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a supply planning / scheduling / fulfillment role (preferably for a manufacturer of consumer products) using SAP systems is preferred
  • Ability to analyze large, complex of raw data sets in Excel as well as develop new reports as needed
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • "Acts Like an Owner" by being proactive in managing business activities, building strong relationships, and doing great work. 
  • Strong communications skills, especially when communicating via phone
  • ERP/MRP (SAP APO/SNP) systems planning experience highly preferred
  • Available to travel about 10%
