Job Description

Come Run with Sasquatch as our Senior Internal Communications Leader to help drive passion, alignment and engagement of our world-wide team members. In this role, you will be focused on enabling global team members, at every level, to understand our purpose, mission, vision and values and our performance-oriented growth culture. Additionally, you will create and execute company-wide communication strategies and programs that enable a dialogue between our leadership and our team members worldwide. This professional will be able to quickly synthesize information on our business, priorities and culture to create clear and impactful communications. 

This is a highly-visible position which will leverage broad range of communications, change management, project and people management skills; exceptional proactive internal client service skills; the ability to be strategic, but also execute; the ability to work well in teams as well as work with C-suite level executives; creativity and innovation in communications delivery; exceptional core communication skills and a strong track record of success developing and implementing impactful communications programs that drive results and foster engagement. Under limited supervision, you will develop new tools, standards and processes. In this role, you will be largely self-directed and may often serve as advisors or project leaders, without direct reports. 

Specifically, you will: 

  • Develop and deliver global team member communications and engagement programs that map back to our annual business objectives and culture.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic internal leadership communications strategy and plan, which will include key internal messages and programs aligned to an annual calendar (i.e., quarterly team meetings and townhalls, quarterly newsletters, monthly leadership briefings, and regular state of the business content).
  • Develop and implement an effective corporate PR strategy to include communicating our sustainability story, our family story, and other social and cause related communications the organization is involved with
  • Create process and methodology for communicating with and engaging manufacturing team members
  • Establish messaging platforms and channels for the Corporate Executive Committee (CEC) to engage successfully with internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Work in collaboration with the marketing team and external agencies team to create and execute opportunities to tell the Jack Link’s culture story to team members, customers, partners, media, investors and analysts, and other business stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage the resources and budget including external agencies and contractors.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications (or related field); Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of communications experience with at least five years of experience in senior communications and/or internal communications or PR roles
  • Experience with a wide variety of internal organizational needs including change management, team member engagement, manager communications, values-based communications.

  • Communicates Effectively:  Experience developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Superior writing, editing (AP style preferred) and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills, including ability to illustrate concepts visually.
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, proactive, able to work independently as well as in team.
  • Proven ability to translate complex concepts into simple messages for a variety of audiences.
  • Travel 15-20% is required.
