Job Description

The General Laborer at the South Plant is responsible for carrying out their responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures. There are many jobs at the South Plant area that fall under this category. These jobs require a great amount of physical labor and stamina. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.  

Qualifications

Job Related Skills/Responsibilities

  • Able to maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Able to report all accidents and deficiencies to the lean/foreman/supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company personnel policies.
  • Able to return from breaks in a timely manner; notify lead/foreman/supervisor before leaving the department.
  • Able to follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Able to ensure product conforms to specifications.
  • Able to follow good manufacturing practices
  • Able to ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
  • **Tasks will vary as situations and demand change; lead/foreman/supervisor will assign tasks as necessary.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
