Job Description

As a key role of the Sales Strategy team, the Trade Marketing Manager position is instrumental in the development and communication of sales strategy for the Jack Link’s portfolio and will be responsible for the profitable growth of their assigned channels. The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for customer marketing, trade fund management, pricing strategy, product positioning strategy, and competitive analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Leads business team in the development of customer strategic plans and customer trade strategy
  • Develops channel trade plans and product promotion strategies
  • Participates as a core member of a sales & marketing focused business team, including the development and communication of all corporate and channel objectives
  • Develops customer led new product innovation recommendations as well as changes, improvements or deletions in existing products.
  • Utilizes data to analyze market trends through the use of industry statistics, market research and customer interaction to identify and solve for market opportunities.
  • Lead liaison in new product planning from sales
  • Supports field sales in the development of sales programs, sales tools, and deployment of marketing programming
  • Acts as the corporate representative of field sales organization to deliver best in class sales growth
  • National marketing event support
  • Undertakes specific company market projects, as assigned
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

 Required Experience:      

  • 7+ years of related experience in sales/marketing/trade marketing
  • P&L management capabilities
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • AC Nielsen & Consumer Insights experience 
  • Trade Marketing or Customer Marketing experience 
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
  • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
