Job Description

Come run with Sasquatch as a Customer Development Manager! In this position, you are responsible for the overall customer and business development for an assigned territory.  The individual will lead account and broker relationships, grow and develop detailed sales plans for all regional direct/indirect accounts.  Manage all customer level P&Ls, interfacing with cross-functional corporate and associate team-members in developing customer programs.  Emphasis on planning, forecasting, executing customer programs and penetrating multiple levels of customer organization.  Trade fund management, leveraging category management practices, broker scorecards, and resources are key functions of this role. 

Specifically, you will: 

  • Deliver category growth with our retail partners, achieve distribution targets, develop the promotional strategies that deliver efficient and effective trade spending
  • Assist in developing 1-3 year plans for channel specific business opportunities focused on expanding Jack Link’s presence in existing outlets and gaining new distribution in new outlets
  • Manage trade spending to drive profitable business, including use of trade promotion management system
  • Collaborate with internal functions to develop customer specific programs/items/POS to build the business
  • Accountable for the development and accuracy of sales forecast by customer and product to drive production planning
  • Provide business updates to Senior Sales Management on sales results/opportunities
  • Understand and report back on competitive landscape and activity
  • Build effective relationships throughout customer organizations and at various levels: Executive Management, Operations, Merchandising, Supply Planning, Marketing
  • Manage deduction & AR issues on all applicable accounts

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following education, skills and experiences: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of CPG experience with an emphasis on grocery customers
  • Analytical capabilities with a demonstrated track record of identifying trends, opportunities and business insights
  • Broker management experience
  • Trade Promotion Management System experience
  • Strong skill level in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to travel at least 50%
