Job Description

Come Run with Sasquatch as a Supply Planning Manager to balance finished goods supply with demand, ensure order fill target service levels, minimize loss, determine and achieve inventory objectives at the lowest delivered cost. In this role, you will partner with manufacturing plants, distribution centers, customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and demand planning to ensure the timely production of finished goods to meet customer demands at the lowest possible cost.

Specificfalloy, you will:

  • Manage the supply plan of finished goods and components for manufacturing sites. Understand the connectivity between manufacturing sites and distribution centers. Manage WIP inventory to meet business needs
  • Model various capacity scenarios to enable informed decision-making and appropriate risk-taking
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Channel Managers and Procurement to integrate New Product launches into production & capacity plans and create inventory strategies for launch
  • Conduct weekly operation calls with manufacturing sites, distribution centers to align on weekly production schedule and to understand any capacity/supply constraints
  • Proactively communicate on product availability to minimize any service issues
  • Utilize SAP/APO to ensure the signals are flowing through the supply chain correctly to the plants, procurement, etc.
  • Understand concepts of Lean Manufacturing, and solve problems with “lean” mind-set
  • Must be able to establish timelines, operational goals, and drive assigned teams to deliver in a fast-paced work environment
  • Oversee management of finished goods inventory for assigned categories/segments
  • Leads strategic projects related to inventory management, capacity planning and process management
  • Manage key performance indicators (KPI’s) for assigned categories/segments
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional teams (customer service, demand and production planners) to model scenarios to recommend inventory strategies, establish inventory targets, and execute the plan.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Supervise direct reports to ensure requirements and measures of performance of those positions are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • APICS or equivalent Supply Chain certification preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in executing, managing or leading supply planning in a consumer packaged goods company
  • Manufacturing experience required along with deep knowledge of SAP
  • Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential to effectively drive results
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel
  • Hands-on experience with SAP APO Demand Planner highly desirable
  • Must have strong understanding and experience of supply management principals and processes coupled with end to end supply chain operational processes
  • Experience introducing/working with supply chain solutions, software and systems is beneficial
  • Experience working with contract packaging/manufacturing companies is beneficial
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
  • Demonstrated ability to influence in cross-functional situations
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
  • Track record of developing and implementing change which positively impacts company performance
  • Travel as necessary estimated up to 20%
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
