Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates and documents the movement of all raw materials in and out of the production areas with the help of the department material handlers.  Works closely with both the department leads and supervisor to ensure all raw materials are accounted for and moved in a timely manner.  Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Once all raw responsibilities are met; or current for the next few hours, the ICT is to follow procedures to prevent cross contamination and work in the RTE warehouse and dock. Such responsibilities include pulling and putting away supplies for production. Scanning and building loads for shipment, and receiving any and all supplies and shipping finished goods and supplies we will not use for the next 30 days.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to the following:

  • Suggest improvements; continuously improve the quality of all support activities.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies; wear and maintain safety equipment.

  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work/storage areas.

  • Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly.

  • Adhere to all company personnel policies.

  • Ensure accuracy of daily paperwork.

  • Follow daily production schedule & Bill-Of-Material (BOM) list to achieve specified goals.

  • Manage all raw materials to ensure availability in correct area for on time star-up.

  • Monitor workflow and adjust raw materials as needed to maximize machine output.

  • Ensure input of location-to-location moves is made accurately in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate with floor leads and supervisors for the training of all team members on use of BOM’s.

  • Ensure product conforms to customers’ specification.

  • Ensure all raw materials are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.

  • Follow good manufacturing practices, along with company mSOP’s and SSOP’s.

  • Material cycle counting at required intervals as determined by finance and management.

  • Data entry of inventory transactions.

  • Ensure accuracy of month end inventory counts.

  • Prevent and minimize rework and inedible.

  • Task will vary as situations and demands change. The foreman or supervisor will assign tasks.

Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Forklift experience preferred.

  • Product knowledge and work experience is essential.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word.

  • Must know or learn SAP.

The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
