Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tool and/or power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.  This position will be carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.   

Qualifications

 

  • Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Able to read and write legibly.
  • Have general maintenance knowledge.
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Able to perform general maintenance.
  • Have good problem solving abilities.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • 1-3 years’ experience/training.
  • Able to Walk and Stand Constantly.
  • Sit Occasionally.
  • Able to lift 50#.
  • CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE IS A MUST

  • Return from breaks in a timely manner; notify lead/foreman/supervisor before leaving the department.
  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.

  • Follow good manufacturing practices, along with company SOP’s and SSOP’s.
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing Processes; team building, consistency in high quality, preventative maintenance, good work place conditions, productive work, etc.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
  • Tasks will vary as situations and demand change; lead/foreman/supervisor will assign tasks as necessary.
