Job Description

Come Run with Sasquatch as a National Account Manager for the Convenience Store Chanel! In this role, you will grow and develop total Jack Link’s sales, share & profitability across all Convenience Store Business assigned. Additionally, you will develop and execute detailed strategic sales plans for all Convenience Store Business assigned.

Possess A General Manager Mindset:

  • Achieve top & bottom line sales, share & profit goals with a significant focus on improving profit and growing share
  • Negotiate annual customer agreements that include pricing, profit, performance and volume commitments.
  • Communicate execution of promotional activity with key stakeholders, such as customer service, wholesale and customer operations
  • Build vertical customer relationships across merchandising, operations and marketing departments
  • Obtain and analyze information concerning competitive pricing, activities, and industry news and their respective impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular business reviews with assigned customers using available data sources (i.e., IRI, Nielsen, Panel/Loyalty, InfoMetrics, Shipments, etc.).
  • Understand assigned customers' strategies, organization structure, operational routines, shopper base, marketing capabilities and best practices.
  • Translate category and channel DMSPs into actionable plans for assigned retailers.
  • Collaborate with internal Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Customer Service and Finance members on key aspects of assigned retailer's business and needs.
  • Collaborate with brand/shopper marketing to develop and implement programs in assigned customers.
  • Negotiate all trade-related terms and contracts.
  • Manage trade funding for assigned customers (event planning, trade rates) within Trade Promotion Management system and ensure trade spending is kept within budget.
  • Develop strong understanding and analyze various retailer's programs to improve effectiveness of trade programs(improve ROI).
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field

Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years direct selling experience in Convenience Store Class Of Trade
  • 10+ years of CPG or food sales experience
  • Selling within the Convenience Store channel specializing on food products
  • Developing and leading multi-year strategic plans
  • Leveraging analytics to identify trends, opportunities and business insight
  • Strong business acumen; specifically with P&L management, Trade Management and Demand Planning
  • Trade Promotion Management System experience preferred
  • Expert skill level in Microsoft applications
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Goal oriented & well organized
  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working cross-functionally with internal and external teams
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of an organization
  • Proactive (high sense of urgency) and committed to delivering results in a fast paced, demanding work environment
  • Impeccable Follow-up both internal and external

Preferred:

  • Using & leveraging consumer insights in a selling environment

Travel:

  • At least 50%
  • At time of offer, must be able to provide evidence of a satisfactory driving record pursuant to a driving records check, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
