Job Description

This position has primary responsibility for working with the senior management team at their location to develop strategies that will enable the Company to attract, recruit and retain the best team members to meets its business objectives. In addition, this position will also be a role model and lead others to create an exceptional team member and candidate experience, including performance coaching, organizational development, strategies to continuously improve our team member engagement and partnering with Talent team on team member and leadership development.”

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead HR Generalist supporting the Corporate Functional Officers in Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Legal/Aviation, and HR.
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate their business priorities into talent strategies that are key to improving the overall effectiveness of the business, including an understanding of change management strategies and organizational design models.
  • Identify opportunities and strategies to enable organizational effectiveness and organizational design to meet the current and future needs of the team.
  • Partner with centers of excellence (Talent, Compensation) to identify talent strategies that allow us to attract, develop, retain and engage our team members.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders on talent management and development initiatives to attract, develop and retain the best available talent in the market. Proactively engage in coaching and counseling conversations with managers and team members.
  • Counseling and/or coaching team members and managers regarding their teams issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution.
  • Provide leadership in, and promotion of, a positive company culture by being an advocate for team members while achieving a balance with company goals.
  • Responsible for leading and developing a team of HR generalists and coordinators.

Qualifications

 

  • HR generalist with 10+ years of progressive levels of leadership responsibility up to and including 5 years of working directly with the senior leader.
  • Experience supporting SG&A functional departments and leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field required; an MBA or Masters in Labor Relations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success translating business strategies into organizational and HR strategies & actions.
  • Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands-on exposure to the full mix of HR functions.
  • Experience with Process Improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
  • Experience working across a complex organizational matrix.
  • A track record of positive results and an ability to show how his/her programs and policies have contributed to the growth and bottom line profitability of an organization while enhancing or driving cultural change.
  • He/she should be someone who is sought out for their opinion and advice and who can forge and maintain close relationships across all constituencies.
  • Self-motivated; bias for action; strong decision making.
  • Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
