Job Description

Come run with Sasquatch as a Business Development Manager! In this role, you will grow and develop total Jack Link’s sales and profitability with key strategic partners, specifically, Bass Pro/Cabela’s. This is a highly visible, strategic position that both establishes and maintains multiple levels of relationships within each key customer to identify needs and opportunities and also to provide selling solutions. This is an opportunity to work with a broad cross-functional team within Jack Link's to develop and implement detailed strategic sales plans for key customers. 

Specifically, you will: 

  • Develop and foster all-encompassing partnership between Jack Link’s and key account partners.
  • Achieve top and bottom-line sales and profit goals with a significant focus on generating profitable growth.
  • Initially focus on Bass Pro/Cabela’s with a long-term opportunity with other channel customers.
  • Effectively wire relationships throughout customer organizations and at various levels internally at Jack Link’s to include Executive Management, Operations, Supply Planning and Marketing and Finance.
  • Effectively manage multiple parallel path projects and provide weekly updates to senior management.
  • Collaborate very closely with both internal and external cross-functional teams (Product Management, Trade Marketing, Research & Development, Finance) in creating both short and long-term category and channel strategies that help build long-term relationship with Bass Pro/Cabela’s and other key channel customers.
  • Create and present information in a compelling and persuasive manner.
  • Provide creative solutions that are in the best interest of Jack Link’s and strategic customers.
  • Manage deduction and accounts receivable issues on all applicable accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of CPG experience with an emphasis in retail accounts (Alternative/Retail).
  • Experience directly with Bass Pro/Cabela’s, or a background with Sporting Goods/Hunting/Fishing retail is preferred.
  • Ability to work at a high-level cross functionally throughout customer organizations and internally at Jack Link’s: Executive Management, Operations, Supply Planning and Marketing and Finance.
  • Developing and executing multi-year strategic plans.
  • Branded and Private Label sales experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to identify trends, opportunities and business insight.
  • Strong business acumen; specifically, with Trade Management and Demand Planning.
  • Trade Promotion Management System experience required
  • Travel 50%
  • Preferred: Strong preference for residence in Springfield, MO or Minneapolis, MN
