Job Description
JYSK Canada is looking for a highly organized, structured, and tech-savvy Property Manager to join our Corporate Real Estate Team on a permanent, full-time basis.
As a Property Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing our expanding commercial real estate portfolio while supporting the management of our leased locations.
In this position, you will serve as our internal Yardi Breeze Power User, taking the lead on lease administration, maintaining accurate and reliable property data, and collaborating closely with our Finance team. You will also act as the primary point of contact for our commercial tenants and provide support for our in-house leasing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Yardi Breeze Administration & Database Management
- Serve as the primary Yardi Breeze super-user, managing data entry, lease abstractions, and operational updates for our entire Canadian retail portfolio.
- Track key lease terms, critical renewal dates, option periods, and localized rent increase schedules using automated Yardi Breeze alerts.
- Audit and upload property data, processing digital lease documents, CAM reconciliations, and property accounting updates directly into the software.
- Generate portfolio performance reports from Yardi Breeze for review by executive management and leadership teams.
Property Operations & Vendor Management
- Coordinate maintenance fixes and facility issues by tracking workflows and communicating directly with tenants, external service providers and landlords.
- Obtain repair quotes, review vendor contracts, and schedule third-party trades to maintain property presentation standards working with our internal Facilities Specialist.
- Conduct occasional site travel within British Columbia and other provinces to audit property conditions and ensure our sites are being properly maintained.
Lease Administration & Tenant Relations
- Process and coordinate accounts payable, tenant rent payments, and localized commercial tenant reconciliations via Yardi Breeze, working in conjunction with our finance team.
- Prepare correspondence, formal notices, and asset summaries for Board and tenants.
- Ensuring key dates (options to renew, rent step up’s, termination clauses, etc.) are accurately tracked.
What this role brings to you?
- Be a part of a dynamic team and culture.
- The opportunity to have a rewarding career with access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities for career advancement.
- A great benefit package (including medical, vision and dental, and RRSP program).
- Discounts with local and national retailers (cell phones, gym memberships, entertainment tickets, hotels, etc.) through Perkopolis.
- A free 24/7 Employee Assistance Program available to you and your family.
- An amazing colleague discount on all JYSK products.
- We host a variety of social events and team building activities throughout the year.
What do you bring to the role?
- Advanced proficiency with Yardi Breeze software is required for this role. You must feel comfortable navigating its accounting, lease administration, and reporting modules independently from day one.
- 4+ years of professional experience in commercial property management support, corporate real estate administration, or leasing coordination.
- High comfort level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to navigate sensitive tenant, landlord or vendor issues.
- Exceptional time management skills with a proven capability to multitask under tight deadlines within a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Willingness to travel periodically and maintain flexible working hours as needed to meet critical commercial deadlines.
- Available to work full-time on-site at our Head Office in Coquitlam, BC; this is not a hybrid position.
