- Unload, stock, and retrieve merchandise efficiently in the warehouse and backroom areas while maintaining accurate inventory records
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently, following all established safety protocols
- Support the sales floor team by ensuring products are properly displayed, stocked, and replenished according to company standards
- Assist the cash team and provide fast, friendly customer service by keeping customers informed about new sales, promotions, and product availability
- Maintain strong product knowledge to answer customer questions and provide recommendations with confidence
- Perform accurate and efficient scanning of items and payment transactions at checkout
- Make sound decisions related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management that align with company guidelines
- Work independently while remaining flexible and proactive in seeking assistance when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues across all store functions to achieve team goals and deliver exceptional service
Qualifications
**Required Skills and Abilities:**
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and other standard warehouse equipment
- First-class customer service skills with a genuine, friendly demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inventory and transactions
- Ability to work independently while being comfortable seeking guidance as needed
- Physical stamina and capability to lift, carry, and move merchandise regularly
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic math and counting abilities for inventory verification
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a secure work environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- One or more years of retail or warehouse experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with inventory management systems or point-of-sale technology
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
Additional Information
Physical demands that are required include mobility (walking, standing, climbing, bending, etc.) and manual material handling (lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, etc.). Movement of product by use of ladders and stock pickers is required.
