We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Advanced Analytics and AI team, where you’ll work with six passionate colleagues dedicated to data, analytics, and AI.

WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT

Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures for AI and analytics projects.
  • Create and maintain automated data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Implement data management best practices, including data governance and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and optimise system performance to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Support the integration of new data sources and ensure smooth data flow across systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Robotics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • +4 years of experience in data engineering, including designing and maintaining data pipelines and architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially for complex data challenges.
  • Strong spoken and written English skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Practical experience with ETL tools and data integration technologies.

Experience in data management and governance is an advantage. Knowledge of AI/ML, containerization, and scripting is desirable. Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps experience is a plus.
