Job Description

If you want to be a part of the ongoing JYSK Logistics development and if you are looking for the position where you can make an impact, then, you might be our new Business Controller in Logistics Development & Controlling department at JYSK.

As a Logistics Controller, you will play a central role in leading and supporting various logistics KPI’s and Developments globally and locally. You will be a part of very skilled and highly ambitious international team with diversified specialist profiles. You will have an opportunity to work with advanced ERP, WMS and BI systems and actually see your global impact on the daily basis.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to:

  • Independently lead and further develop assigned areas of Business Controlling
  • Work closely with DC’s Management Teams and collaborate across all Distribution Centres with many stakeholders
  • Facilitate best-practice sharing and implementation of various concepts with your peers and other functions
  • Contribute to further developing JYSK Logistics Controlling setup and concepts from idea generation to actual implementation

You will independently drive or lead internal, local and global tasks such as:

  • Local tasks (across 3-4 Assigned to you Distribution Centers)
    • Act as a sparring partner for DC’s Logistics Directors
    • Proactively highlight deviations and short-term focus areas
    • Analyse overall DC’s performance
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, and regulatory requirements in Distribution Centres. Collaborate with external auditors during stock-count.
  • Global tasks (across all 10 DC’s in Europe)
    • Lead and develop your area of reporting (in rotation with your peers you will focus on different KPI’s e.g. Efficiency, Productivity, Cost, Budgeting, etc.)
    • Regularly assess the financial performance of the Distribution Centres identifying trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management
    • Work closely with other departments, including DC operations, DC Planning, Flow of Goods and Finance in order to understand business and DC drivers. Facilitate communication between Controlling and non-Controlling teams
  • Internal tasks (within Logistics Development and Controlling)
    • In cooperation with your teammates optimise internal processes procedures, and document it all in SOP’s
    • Actively search and share with your international group information regarding new trends and upcoming logistics/operational developments
    • Participate in the development of ERP and BI-driven solutions

You are able to present your points in an easily understandable and convincing way.

There are few ways to get this position. You can be an experienced Business controller who is looking for new challenges in international company or you can be a Business / Supply Chain graduate and fast learner who is searching for applying theoretical knowledge in practice. We believe that ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in English as our corporate language.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general SQL understanding
  • Experience within Business controlling is an advantage
  • Advanced proficiency in QlikView and SAP will be also considered as an advantage
  • Personal availability for travelling around 25-30 days per year mainly within EU
