We are seeking a Sales Manager for the continuous development of one of our international markets. You will refer to the Regional Head of Sales, who is overall responsible for turnover and gross profit of a number of countries.

You will be part of a dynamic team of over 40 people who make up the Sales & Expansion department at the JYSK Head Office in Aarhus.

WHAT YOUR JOB WILL BE ABOUT
In Sales & Expansion, our general responsibility is to ensures sales and profitability for JYSK. This means that we are responsible for surveilling the market and implementing marketing activities in the different countries. Nonetheless, Sales & Expansion also handles the pricing for all articles in all JYSK countries. 

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coach a team of 3 employees located in Finland
  • Prepare individual campaigns for off-line channels – from article selection, campaign pricing to campaign evaluation 
  • Price assortment and contribution to the development of the best possible assortment composition
  • Monitor our competitors and thus ensure our competitiveness on price and assortment
  • Handle the controlling of key figures and launch necessary activities to reach determined goals
  • Ensure optimum information to the stores – primarily via JYSKs Intranet.

In addition, your workday will include a number of ad hoc and recurring tasks related to the changing seasons.

You will assume the management responsibility of 3 employees: two Sales Coordinators and one Sales & Marketing Assistant, who are located in our Head Office in Helsinki, Finland.

You will participate in travel activities for meetings and competitor monitoring (app. 15-20 travel days per year).

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING
To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, proactive and have an analytical mindset. 

In addition you:

  • Have a relevant educational background – e.g. a Bachelor or Master within Business, Marketing or similar
  • Have leadership experience
  • Are good at planning your time and meeting deadlines
  • Have an analytical and structured approach to your tasks
  • Have a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Can speak and write English fluently
  • Have good skills in Excel
  • Preferably have a commercial approach and understanding of retail business in relation to how it gains profit and customers
