As JYSK category manager you will:

• Become part of an international and professional organisation with a proven track record, a solid and strong corporate spirit, and dedicated colleagues
• Get the responsibility for the assortment development, supplier selection, and the resulting sales and profits
• Be working closely with suppliers as well as across JYSK departments such as supply chain planning, quality and compliance, sales and marketing, e-business, and retail.
• Become an integrated part of the purchasing department for mattresses that consists of 7 team members and colleagues. The team has the responsibility for mattress assortment across a total of 28 countries.

The tasks and the corresponding capabilities and competences as Category Manager in JYSK have many facets. The work includes close cooperation with our suppliers, development of market insight including consumer, competitor and product understanding, assortment development and pricing. The decisions are data driven and developed in cooperation with the JYSK sales and retail departments. The decisions are established through a controlled and detailed approach respecting the deadlines of the annual timeline. The assortment performance is secured through good communication and tight follow ups on sales, quality, delivery service, and market developments.   

You bring dedication and you … 

• Have experience within purchasing, product development, project management, and/or category management and possibly international markets
• Hold a masters’ degree in business science or another relevant area
• Can communicate in Danish, English, and possibly German with suppliers as well as internally across departments
• Have a strong analytical mindset and above average Excel skills
• Work independently, structured, precisely, and efficiently
• Are results oriented, detailed, decisive, pro-active, and responsible
• Are a tradesman who sees the right product with the right design and the best quality and price
