As project manager in Business Development, you will play a central role in setting the strategic direction and driving projects to ensure long-term competitive advantage in JYSK. Projects are determined by our strategy, works across functional areas and cover strategic, tactical and operational levels. A member of the JYSK Executive Management Team typically sponsors our projects.

  • You will independently lead high-profile projects as well as support our Business Development Manager on our main strategic projects
  • You will work closely with the top management and work across many different business areas of an international retail company
  • You will cooperate with specialists at the head office in Aarhus, the regional head office in Flensburg and stakeholders across the 27 countries where JYSK operate

You will be involved in different tasks such as:

  • Defining project scope, developing actionable plans and following up on progress
  • Facilitating and preparing material for decision forums and meetings
  • Training colleagues in relevant project management and Business Development areas (E.g. structured problem solving, work breakdown, strategy etc.)

To succeed in this role, you have a structured approach and know how to think strategically, operate tactically and set a clear direction for the project teams. Your strong sense for business makes you a confident decision-maker, and you thrive in an environment where you have a plan until you make a new one. You are able to present your points in an easily understandable and convincing way.

In addition:

  • You have strong cross-functional project management experience – proven track record with large scale IT projects is a big advantage
  • You are able to quickly understand new business areas, which enables you to participate in discussions with fact-based arguments for decision making
  • You have solid stakeholder management skills and are able to navigate on all levels
  • You are trustworthy and able to establish good relations to become a trusted advisor and possess the competencies to become a valuable sparring partner
  • You have minimum 2-3 years of experience as a consultant, project- or programme manager or a similar role where you acquired the necessary skills – experience within Retail is an advantage
