Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Global Investigations practice in London. The successful candidate will be involved in managing a variety of investigative assignments across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the Middle East.
This role is suited to someone with at least one year of relevant experience in disputes-related investigations or a similar field, and requires a strong academic background, excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to conduct research in Arabic. Proficiency in research and report writing is essential.
The Analyst will work under the guidance of senior team members and report directly to one of the Managing Directors. Flexibility is key, as the role may occasionally require travel and working outside regular hours, including weekends and public holidays, depending on project demands.
Responsibilities
- Conduct desk-based research using a range of search engines, subscription services, and other databases.
- Carry out field research by accessing publicly available files, records, and other sources of information.
- Undertake proactive research and inquiries as needed, including interviews conducted by telephone and in person.
- Present analytical findings to the highest standard through written reports, verbal briefings, and visual presentations.
- Support the research and drafting of project proposals.
- Maintain project files, both electronically and in hard copy, as required.
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts in relevant jurisdictions.
- Contribute to the identification and development of resources useful for investigative research.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field such as Law, International Relations, Political Science, Middle Eastern Studies, or a related discipline.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, with the ability to conduct research in Arabic.
- Up to one year of relevant experience in investigations (e.g. asset tracing, litigation support, fraud investigations) or in a legal/commercial environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to produce high-quality written reports.
- Experience conducting research and drafting reports under tight deadlines.
- Confident in debriefing external sources both in person and over the phone.
- Proficient in using research databases and online investigative tools.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to work independently across a broad range of investigative and due diligence assignments.
- High attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel as needed.
