We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Building Consulting to join our team in Murrieta, United States. This senior-level position offers a unique opportunity for an innovative and goal-oriented professional to lead our building consulting division, driving growth and delivering exceptional client solutions.

• Spearhead the evaluation of disaster impacts on structures and environments, assessing risks and potential damage to determine effective preventive measures
• Develop and implement strategic plans to minimize damage during emergencies, including resource deployment and critical infrastructure protection
• Oversee complex commercial and residential project estimations, ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction
• Lead and mentor a team of building consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Manage day-to-day operations at project sites, ensuring smooth progress, timely completion, and maintenance of quality standards
• Collaborate with Business Development Managers to identify and nurture new business opportunities
• Interface with clients, adjusters, brokers, and other stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure project success
• Conduct field inspections and site visits to evaluate scope of work and damage
• Provide technical direction to other consultants, supporting their projects and professional development
• Analyze and review project documentation, including schedules, contracts, change orders, and reports

• Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent experience in the restoration industry
• 8-10+ years of estimating experience in the restoration, insurance, and remediation field, with a focus on large commercial complex losses
• Proven experience in reconstruction projects, roofing, or equivalent fields
• Proficiency in Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means, or other estimating software
• Strong project management skills and experience leading teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality expert reports
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a detail-oriented approach
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strategic thinking skills
• Experience in business development and client relationship management
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Proficiency in risk assessment and disaster recovery planning
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
• IICRC related degrees, credentials, or certifications (preferred)
• RRO, PMP, or other relevant industry certifications (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and make decisive actions in high-pressure situations
• Physical capability to conduct inspections, climb ladders, and carry necessary equipment

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $125,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
