Job Description

The Implementation Consultant provides strategic and technical consulting services to clients focused on Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) Information Systems.  As the senior member of the technical team on client projects, the Implementation Consultant is the trusted client advisor and is accountable for the overall delivery of a quality software solution to meet client requirements and expectations.  Specifically, they are responsible for leading design sessions to gather client requirements, designing a technical solution to meet those requirements, and completion of the system configuration and implementation. 

Job Responsibilities:

- Project Delivery: 

  • Act as the primary technical contact on delivery projects.
  • Facilitate and lead design sessions to gather client requirements.
  • Analyze client requirements and design system solutions following industry best practices and applying expertise and knowledge.
  • Identify and design EHSQ solutions to solve client challenges or opportunities.
  • Prepare design and as-built documentation to communicate the solution to both the J.S. Held technical team and the client.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to deliver a quality solution to the client following the J.S. Held Project Delivery Methodology.
  • Oversee the Application Specialists to complete the configuration of the solution design.
  • Complete functional testing of the configuration to ensure a quality deliverable to the client.
  • Provide system administration training to clients.
  • Deploy the solution to the production environment.
  • Assume additional project roles, such as a Business Analyst/Trainer on a needs basis.

- Sales Support

  • Work with the Sales team to provide technical solution details during the sales process.
  • Provide input to create estimates for upcoming sales opportunities.
  • Work with existing clients to explore additional ways to expand their product use.
  • Attend conferences to support sales teams in lead generation.

- Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Keep technical knowledge up to date, both on the software platform and on related technical skills.
  • Understand industry best practices in enterprise information architecture models and integrations, capability models, process definitions, and enterprise operating models.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with Cority, Intelex or Enablon. Familiarity with this software is highly valued and can contribute significantly to success within our team.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong application configuration and development skills.
  • Experience in technical implementation of Cority, Enablon or Intelex
  • Functional understanding of SaaS technology solutions.
  • Functional understanding of EHS, Risk and Sustainability Software.

Required skills:

  • Facilitation: facilitate internal and client sessions throughout project.
  • Leadership: lead and mentor other technical project team members, work with Project Manager to manage client relations.
  • Collaboration: work effectively with client, project team members, other key stakeholders (including Sales and Strategic Partners) through effective communication and proficient presentation skills.
  • Analytical Skills: ability to gather client requirements and develop system solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Creative Thinking: demonstrating flexibility and finding innovative new ways of approaching problems and delivering projects.
  • Customer-Service: work to meet and exceed client expectations throughout projects.
  • Detail-Orientation: ensure effective requirements gathering and comprehensive solution design.
  • Problem-Solving: ability to define problems clearly, generate alternatives and make decisions that move the project forward.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing object-oriented applications (Object Oriented) is an asset.
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery client-side framework is an asset.
  • Functional knowledge of UML notation (ERDs, Use Cases, Workflows, etc.), Restful APIs and JSON notation is an asset.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
