Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Director to join our Investigative Data Analytics team within our Digital Investigations & Discovery (‘DI&D”) group in multiple geographical areas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead project teams on challenging projects, leveraging your expertise in data analysis and client engagement to deliver innovative solutions to complex data-intensive matters and transforming them into actionable insights.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Investigative Data Analytics team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional data analysis roles. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of data analytics but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilize knowledge of databases and programming languages to analyze and interpret data, including historical financial, operational, and transactional data
  • Identify, research, and organize information to assess the quality of data to facilitate effective analysis, identifying any potentially sensitive content
  • Lead projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and production of electronic data relevant to security and regulatory investigations
  • Create, prepare, and validate analyses, reports, presentations, and other deliverables regarding project scope and results of work performed
  • Participate in client meetings to review results of work performed
  • Responsible for management of day-to-day project activities, including interaction with other team members, professionals from other firms, and client staff

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in Computer Science, MIS, Business Analytics, or another relevant field
  • Strong background in the analysis of accounting, finance, insurance, and manufacturing and other real world, transactional data sets
  • 8+ years of experience working in a consulting firm or similar environment
  • High level understanding of Python, Java, C or equivalent
  • Proficiency in SQL. Experience with both traditional and cloud-based database servers
  • Proficiency overseeing projects utilizing ETL software and data visualization tools (SSIS, Pentaho, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Ability to travel as needed, depending on the engagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis in specific industries (e.g., healthcare, financial, insurance, legal, government, retail, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Understanding of cryptocurrency and other digital assets.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for data storage and processing.
  • Experience with data visualization tools beyond the basics (e.g., interactive dashboards, storytelling techniques).

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to sit for long period of time
  • Must be comfortable to work in a remote and/or hybrid environment
  • Must be flexible to work outside of the 8:30am – 5:30pm business hours if needed
  • Must be flexible to travel

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $160k - $190k. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
