Construction Company is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to help drive HR functions and promote a dynamic corporate culture. This role is responsible for recruitment and sourcing, talent development, performance programs, compensation, policy compliance, employee relations, and communications.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment efforts with a focus on bringing in diverse talent.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws through appropriate program and process management, as well as ad hoc situation analysis and subsequent plans of actions
- In partnership with the Senior HR Manager, implement strategies and talent development programs that increase employee engagement and retention
- Identify and champion human resources process improvement initiatives
- Deliver timely, high quality and impactful employee communications
- Identify employee issues; recommend cost effective solutions
Qualifications
Experience and Education Requirements:
- 5+ years of exempt level Human Resources proficiency
- Demonstrated aptitude to recruit in a low cost fashion; can effectively use online recruitment tools
- Competent to work on tasks where limited written procedures and protocols exist
- Proven ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situations
- Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrates discretion, able to work with sensitive and confidential materials and possess good business judgment
- Customer service oriented
- General knowledge of employment law (such as the ADA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, NRLA, & Title VII) and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situations
- Strong critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to pull complex data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- BS degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or an applicable field
- Master’s degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources or Business is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-8+ years’ experience or Master degree with 2-4 years’ experience
