Job Description:

Programmer Analyst 4 - Power Builder 12.1 or Appeon Power Builder for Family Services Division. Good communication skills (verbal/written) are mandatory for this contract.

The Division of Family Services uses the OASIS (Online Automated Services Information System) to provide an online case record, available statewide to authorized LDSS and Home Office users, of information related to Family Services cases. The OASIS Team works to plan, develop, implement and maintain OASIS in support of the Division of Family Services and VDSS mission and goals. The team's primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that OASIS continues to reflect local and home office business practices;
  • Training and supporting users of OASIS through group sessions, local agency visits, online help screens and an OASIS Help Desk;
  • Providing OASIS system maintenance services;
  • Utilizing the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis Reporting System (AFCARS) and the National Child Abuse and Neglect Information System (NCANDS) to make required submissions to the federal government;
  • Providing data and reports through OASIS for local, state and federal agencies.

The candidate will be responsible for coding related to production support tickets and working directly with users to answer questions.  Good communication skills (verbal/written) are mandatory.

Family Services is seeking an experienced Application Systems Developer / Analyst with proven experience in performing programming solutions for existing problems and making system enhancements from documented system specifications.  The selected candidate will have experience analyzing existing code, documenting error conditions, and developing program code solutions for the OASIS (On-line Automated Services Information System) system.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 12 years proficiency in Object Oriented programming PowerBuilder 12.2 or greater
  • 10 years’ experience in analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of large    automated systems
  • 10 years’ experience Legacy, client server development of major applications
  • 5 years’ experience with systems with 2 Tiered and N-tiered architectures
