Job Description

The candidate selected will Install, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, equipment, and electrical systems and components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnoses malfunctioning machinery using computer-based techniques.
  • Makes changes to PLC programs. Writes simple programs.
  • Maintains PLC & CNC backup library for all equipment operational programs.
  • Installs, programs, and diagnoses microprocessor controllers and systems.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs power supply wiring, conduit, and substation equipment for production machines.
  • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical equipment such as transformers, motors, and circuit boards.
  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Performs fabrication and machining work.
  • Performs routine maintenance of all production and facility equipment.
  • Supports immediate needs of the Manufacturing department.
  • Observes all safety and other company policies.
  • Records data accurately and completely in MPC. (CMMS)
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
  • Good diagnostic / problem solving skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools. (Multimeter, Amp Clamp, drill, tape measure, etc.)
  • Blueprint reading. (Electrical schematics & Mechanical drawings.)
  • “Hands-on” team player.Familiar with Outlook email, Excel, Word.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
