Job Description

***Seeking candidates local to Highland, IL****
  • Candidate must have direct experience of power supply design, and/or A/D and D/A design for battery operated mobile devices.
  • Candidate must be able to select components to implement the design that meets the requirements of the system.  
  • Familiar with DC-DC voltage regulators, magnetics design and HDI PCB design.  
  • Adept in the use of Spice based simulation tools, and board design CAD tools (schematic/layout).  
  • Experience in serial interfaces such as I2C and SPI.  
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to guide critical decisions with limited data and short deadlines.  
  • Proven ability to work well with cross-functional teams.  
  • Proficient making measurements with lab equipment such as; oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, loads, etc.  
  • Experience automating bench validation tests.  
  • Able to work independently and prioritize work.

Desired (Nice to have):  

  • Good understanding of thermal constraints and mechanical and packaging challenges.  
  • Knowledge of high volume manufacturing technologies and production variance.  
  • Experience with Electronic Circuit Design.
  • Experience with embedded system design, bring-up, validation, and support through production.  
  • Experience with supporting and developing test automation (C, C#, LabView etc.).  
  • Experience working at electronics manufacturing factories overseas.  
  • The ideal candidate can cover the full spectrum of power circuits (DC/DC, chargers, LDOs, etc. and analog signal path circuits (A/D, D/A, opamps, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Must have Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or higher
  • 5+ years experience
