Job Description

***This job is a Direct Hire to our customer.***

Minimum 2 years of experience.

We are seeking experienced candidate’s with digital hardware and embedded software experience.  In the case of new grads, we’d be mainly looking for candidates from Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree programs. They would need to be familiar with C/C++, embedded software (firmware) development, and Linux, and be comfortable with digital hardware concepts.  In addition to software development, responsibilities of the position include analysis of technical requirements, software architecture and design, and software verification.  Pluses include: Real-time software development, unit testing / test-driven development, source control using Git or Subversion, familiarity with embedded in-system debugging, security, secure coding, knowledge of electrical engineering and power systems, C#, User Interface design.

In the case of experienced candidates, we would require experience in many of the same areas. Key requirements are embedded software (firmware) development and C/C++. Experience developing on Linux (this includes tools: make, gcc/g++, gdb, git), and developing for embedded Linux systems (platforms such as PowerPC and ARM). We’d also be expecting more of the “pluses”.
