JLGOV is seeking a full-time VoIP/VTC Engineer for a long-term contract. This position provides end-to-end VoIP telephony and network systems support.

Job Description

  • Development of technical documentation, engineering practices, and standard operating procedures for use by lab engineers and Navy IT personnel
  • Establish guidelines for systems configuration management, base lining, backups, and restoration
  • In-depth configuration of voice/video gateways, call-processing agents, and endpoints
  • Knowledge of secure/non-secure voice communications in support of for senior level leadership within various government agencies
  • Knowledge of JIE/JRSS/VPN/NIPRNET/SIPRNET
  • Familiarity with VMware virtualization (ESX) and administration
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Familiarity with engineering design process per Defense Acquisition guidelines
  • Familiarity with DoD IA requirements, hardening, and patching (STIGs, IAVA/B, ACAS/HBSS/SCAP)

Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE CURRENT/ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE!!
  • Current/active Security+ Certification required!
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer/Communications or similar field
  • 5+ years of experience with designing and implementing IP networks
  • 5+ years of experience with configuring CISCO, Avaya, Microsoft UC solutions
  • One of the following preferred: CCNA, JNCIA, CCNP-Voice or Wireless certification
