Job Description

This is a hybrid position.

Workplace Giving and Matching Gift (WPG/MG) is one of JDRF’s most lucrative fundraising programs, with over 430 companies supporting the organization. Working in collaboration with the Director WPG/MG, the Coordinator is responsible for the management and maintenance of various aspects of the program, a component of Corporate Development.  This includes heavy data entry in various databases and Smartsheets and processing applications for public and private sector workplace giving (WPG) campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with maintaining the department’s revenue level:
  • Assists with national and chapter level matching gift (MG) verifications - both electronic and paper.  This includes checking all incoming MG applications against the donor’s CRM records to see if they are eligible for a corporate match and recording all transactions on Smartsheet.
  • Works with various departments/chapters to collect/assemble documents for use in the Grant applications.
  • Assists with MG marketing efforts including social media, email campaigns, and annual fund letters.
  • Sends timely WPG acknowledgments to individual donors; downloads donor details to share with appropriate chapters for stewardship purposes.
  • Maintains and updates chapter and contact details on third-party vendor portals in support of generating new WPG/MG revenue on the national/local levels.
  • Processes all WPG/MG donations and adjustments within Salesforce. Ensures the data entry process is in accordance with the Finance department’s use requirements.
  • Codes all incoming disbursements, ensuring funds are matched to designated JDRF Chapters. 
  • Posts all coded funds and donor details for review and adjustment instructions from office managers and chapters staff.  Sends notifications to relevant chapters/departments to inform them about the receipt of $5,000+ gifts.
  • Exports fund details from online corporate portals for use by Finance. As needed, assist Finance with reconciliation of EFT disbursements & MG fund details to ensure donations are correctly identified upon receipt.
  • Works with Technology to help develop systems used to streamline and automate coding processes.
  • Works closely with Finance on revenue generating and administrative projects.
  • Monitors the department’s email inboxes, serves as first point of contact for a wide range of documents. This includes providing donors with appropriate information and guidance to make their match gift submission process as effortless as possible.
  • Ensures that applications/eligibility forms are correctly prioritized, and deadlines are met.  
  • Tracks WPG/MG Program’s weekly revenue using CRM and runs reports. 
  • Serves as JDRF’s primary contact to work with federal agencies, state campaigns and companies to coordinate local speaking engagements, health fairs and campaign kick-off promotional event opportunities.
  • Maintains department e-filing system 
     

Qualifications

•    2 years of work experience preferably in fundraising in nonprofit organizations 
•    College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
•    Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others (staff, donors, corporations, 
federations).
•    Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines. 
•    High comfort level with performing heavy data entry projects.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Excellent organizational skills.
•    Ability to think independently
•    Ability to exercise discretion when managing sensitive organizational details.  
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and 
databases. Salesforce and Luminate Online preferred
•    Ability to learn third-party systems and software 
•    High degree of adaptability and flexibility.
•    Basic accounting skills preferred
