Job Description

The Development Manager will join a strong Chapter team reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with Chapter staff, regional and national teams, and an outstanding group of volunteer leaders, to increase the reach and mission impact of the Chapter.  Serving as the functional lead for the financial success of the Colorado Gala, while managing a substantial portfolio of prioritized supporter opportunities to ensure the ongoing scaled success of this signature event, the Development Manager serves as an integral member of the team, ensuring an integrated approach to supporter growth and support within and outside of our event activities.  Emphasizing retention, cultivation and stewardship, with attention to new individual (especially mid-level donors), family, foundation and corporate supporter acquisition, the Development Manager will have significant impact on the effectiveness of supporter engagement and Chapter outcomes.  Understanding the many stages of the supporter lifecycle and the multiple mission impact opportunities in which supporters can engage throughout their JDRF relationship is key.  While the Colorado Gala is a primary focus area of this role, managing, evaluating, supporting, and expanding the most resonant donor experience is equally important, even when it translates to mission support outside of this signature event.  The Development Manager will also organize and execute key administrative components that enable the moves management process for the most meaningful outcomes.

For optimum success, this position is based in or around the Denver market. While staff are currently working remotely, the expectation is that staff will work from the office as needed and be available for office meetings, and other in person gatherings as required and when safe to do so.
