Job Description

The Change Management Manager plays a key role in JDRF’s Change Management Team, leading the development and tactical execution of organization change management strategies, workplans, and activities for JDRF’s EDGE Digital Transformation. The Manager will lead and/or implement overall change management lifecycle activities including readiness/impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, communications & engagement, process improvement, training, adoption measurement and activities for the introduction of new technology, processes, and organization changes related to the Transformation. The Manager will work closely with project teams, organization divisions, key stakeholders, leadership, and staff across the company to drive successful organizational/personal transitions from current state to future state and to deliver the best-possible experience for JDRF supporters (volunteers, advocates, donors, researchers, T1D community, and staff).

The ideal candidate will bring in-depth and diverse experience, self-starter skills, enthusiasm, collaborative spirit, and innovative thought leadership to develop strategies/activities and help shape the new change management office being established within JDRF’s Technology division. They will be comfortable with working independently with little direction, self-starting and creating structure around projects, flexible with performing diverse tasks in governance and change management, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage development and execution of change management plans key initiatives and other changes, working closely with leadership, project team members, sponsors, change champions, key stakeholders, supporters, and others
  • Independently manage and execute on delivery of change management projects, activities, and artifacts
  • Lead development and delivery of communications messages, materials, website content, forums/tools
  • Lead development and execution of change readiness/impact assessments, risk assessments, gap analysis, process reviews, and results reporting/communication
  • Partner closely with key functional areas throughout JDRF to assess and gather change needs, develop materials, track deliverables, and meet timelines
  • Facilitate or support stakeholder engagement including sponsor alignment, leadership coordination, focus groups, interviews, working groups, etc.
  • Provide innovative thinking on strategies for stakeholder engagement, communications, change adoption motivation, and problem solving
  • Prepare materials including, but not limited to, strategies, workplans, website content, email communications, presentations, surveys, and so forth
  • Cultivate, lead, and support a community of change champions, super users, and other groups and leverage informal leaders to influence successful organizational change
  • Establish and maintain adoption success metrics and plans for measurement/monitoring, risk mitigation, and reinforcement and track and report issues
  • Lead training/coaching of leadership and project managers on change management practices to help them drive sustainable change
  • Support and work with training team members to assess requirements, design training, and ensure alignment with change management strategy
  • Assist with establishment of organization change management office and governance, framework, strategies, and standards and document processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Organizational Development/Psychology, Technology or equivalent experience
  • Change Management certification (Prosci, CMAP, etc.) or degree including change management coursework
  • 8 or more years of experience in dedicated change management roles at a large-scale organization or management consulting firm, developing and executing change management strategies and activities to drive awareness and adoption
  • 4 or more years of experience with project management and leading change management projects or teams
  • Experience with large-scale digital/system transformations
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills with varied audiences at all organization levels
  • Excellent skills in drafting presentations, reports, communications, and other deliverables
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and other Office products
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work collaboratively with and through others
  • Flexible, agile, and able to work in ambiguous situations and on multiple, varied projects and tasks
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Ability to innovate and think out-of-the box
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Potential travel required: 20%

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in fields such as Organization development/psychology, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Engineering or equivalent military experience
  • Management consulting experience with diverse clients and projects
  • PMP, CSM, SAFE, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certifications
  • Work experience implementing SalesForce NPSP in non-profit organizations
