Job Description

Join a team of peer to peer managers to support the Minnesota P2P Programs. Programs include JDRF One Walks, Ride to Cure Diabetes, JDRF Stadium Challenge and DIY Fundraising. The Senior Development Manager is someone who sees the big picture and manages change to ensure continued growth of a fundraising program that is steeped in history but ready for the next phase.   The Senior Development Manager will oversee all aspects of the JDRF One Walk with a primary focus on managing a portfolio of family teams that is responsible for raising more than $1 million of a $1.5 million budget. Lead a Development Manager that is responsible for One Walk corporate teams and sponsorship.  Logistically, manage all aspects of JDRF One Walk Twin Cities. Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director, and in partnership with the National Walk Team and volunteer leadership, help contribute to the overall $1.6 million total P2P program goal through:

FUNDRAISING

  • Coach family teams captains to meet or exceed budgeted goals YOY
  • Conduct in-person goal setting and coaching meetings with top 120 performing teams
  • Manage V1P program and coach V1Ps to meet or exceed budgeted goals YOY
  • Using a needs-based approach (MRMS - taught by JDRF), prospect and secure a minimum of 2 – 3 corporate partners for One Walk

FAMILY TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Meet registration and fundraising retention goals for returning family teams
  • Work with Senior Outreach Manager to meet registration and fundraising goals for new family teams
  • Create year-round touchpoint plan to ensure donor retention

DONOR CULTIVATION

  • Using a needs-based approach (MRMS -taught by JDRF) cultivate relationships with donors, volunteers, families, and companies throughout the year

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT

  • Identify, build, and steward relationships with community, civic and corporate leaders as an integral part of volunteer and donor prospect development and engagement in JDRF activities.
  • Manage and support One Walk Committee Chairs and One Walk committee
  • Work with Family Team committee to steward family teams, providing on-going support and maintaining high level of contact

EVENT MANAGEMENT

  • Support One Walk Committee Logistics lead volunteer lead to ensure successful event day
  • Meet deadlines for any vendor contracts, and/or site requirements
  • Manage any special events related to the Peer to Peer Programs including:  One Walk Kick-off, Pre-Walk launch events, Post-Walk Appreciation Celebration

DATA MANAGEMENT

  • Partner with chapter team to maintain accurate records of all donors and event participants
  • Achieve solid command of database systems to track progress, run reports, input data, and support participant needs
  • Work with National program tools to track progress, submitting documents according to national standards
  • Track interactions in CRM

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Develop and write correspondences with teams, newsletter features, and other documents/communications
  • Create and execute Social Media plan.
  • Coordinate local mailings – invitations, letters, etc.
  • Submit required documents to national office

OTHER DUTIES

  • Other Peer to Peer Programs as assigned. Support other fundraising events, chapter activities and programs.                   

Qualifications

  • Three – Five (3-5) years of fundraising or business experience.  CFRE a plus.  
  • Knowledge of fundraising and non-event fundraising activities is a must.  
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, and have a desire to push themselves and others to perform at the highest levels.
  • Experience supervising staff is a must.
  • Prior corporate development work is a plus. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.  
  • Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.  
  • Computer literate with experience in Luminate Online, LCRM, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and other basic office programs. 
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work some nights and weekends to support all Peer to Peer Programs.
