Job Description

BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

The Development Coordinator will organize, coordinate, implement and expand a variety of the Chapter’s programs, events and development activities that build and strengthen links to potential and existing volunteers and donors and that grow the Chapter’s revenue through corporate, individual, volunteer, and other community involvement. 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fundraising
  • Auction (Live and Silent) through Gala
  • In coordination with Gala Chair and Development Director, recruit, train and work with Auction Chair(s), to include Live, Silent and/or special fundraising programs during gala
  • Work with Auction Committee to achieve budgeted revenue targets through acquisition and promotion of items for live and silent auctions
  • Steward auction item donors to ensure retention of high value gifts year over year
  • Oversee all data entry and management processes related to auction, including item entry, write ups, presentation, night of logistics and close-out
  • Corporate and Leadership Giving Development
  • Support Chapter staff and volunteer leadership to achieve year over year growth in corporate, individual and foundation giving
  • Manage a portfolio of small to mid-size corporate partners in order to meet annual corporate revenue targets
  • Assist in preparation of proposals, presentations and corporate recruitment/stewardship events
  • Provide support with individual and foundation prospects, to include:  prospect research and identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for prospect
  • Chapter Donor Events
  • Provide support for donor cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year
  • Oversee logistics of these events, including invitations, guest list, rsvp and event programs
  • Provide follow-up and stewardship for all guests and hosts of these events

Qualifications

SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCES:

  • 2-3 years+ of fundraising experience – working with donors and understanding of donor development and gift acquisition
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to connect and collaborate with various groups
  • Experience working with volunteers in order to achieve desired fundraising results
