Job Description

The Greater Dallas Chapter of JDRF is currently accepting resumes for the Development Coordinator position. The Development Coordinator, under supervision of the Executive Director, carries out the implementation of development activities for the organization. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with organizing, coordinating, implementing and expanding all programs and development activity  including annual events such as the Gala, Walk, Luncheon, National Ride Program, Young Leaders Circle Event and other third party events.
  • Ensure that logistics, vendor communications, budgets, and timelines are met for various events
  • Accurate tracking and recording of information in various database systems.
  • Maintain standards for all programs established by the national program team to ensure that the fundraising and program priorities of JDRF are incorporated.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fund development including event planning, corporate sponsorship and volunteer committee management
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with volunteers and donors
  • Demonstrated ability to convey information clearly and knowledgeably through excellent electronic, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Personable, detail oriented, organized, with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, internet and database systems
  • Experience with fundraising platforms, including Greater Giving, Luminate Online, and Salesforce is preferred 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet organization’s needs
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in development, event planning, or marketing preferred
