Job Description

Currently, we are seeking a part time Administrative Assistant for our Western New York Chapter in Buffalo, NY to provide clerical and administrative support to chapter staff and volunteers. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform responsibilities that require knowledge of chapter activities and understanding the Foundation’s operations and procedures.
  • Maintain the chapter database and files, which include fundraising events, membership, leadership,      volunteers, donors, and media.
  • Learn and utilize all JDRF software programs for constituent management and acknowledgment.
  • Coordinate and direct the volunteer staff assigned to the chapter office.
  • Answer telephones, respond to inquiries, and take messages.  Direct calls to the appropriate person.
  • Prepare routine correspondence.
  • Process contributions and handles invoices.
  • Responsibility for audit compliance.
  • Assist at chapter special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • High school graduate, some college preferred with 2+ years in dynamic office environment.
  • Strong secretarial skills. 
  • Clerical and administrative office experience with computer proficiency a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers. 
  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
