Job Description
As the Home Delivery Centre Network Planner reporting to the Network Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day compilation of accurate purchase and forecasting data to ensure the smooth running of the group HDC’s. You will also be responsible for developing and leading projects which will ensure continuous improvement of the Network Logistics function and provide data and insights to the Network Planner and Supply Chain to enable them to successful update and meet with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate & syndicate (Store Ops, Merch) Logistics response to key sales events in terms of resource, operational and other considerations necessary to support / execute.
- Develop and implement an inbound systemized delivery booking tool together with an associated performance reporting capability to streamline current operational efficiencies.
- In conjunction with the Network Planning Manager, initiate and plan required continual improvement projects to ensure overall improvement of the Logistics function.
- Continuously work with merch and store ops to maximize the availability of inventory in the logistics network (right stock, right location, right time) and in-store (for logistics supported product categories).
- Aggregate data accurately from Merch and Store Ops teams to accurately reflect companywide scenarios on which correct decisions can be made.
- Work with Logistics peers to properly understand requirements, considerations, etc. as applicable which impact the direction and development of logistics initiatives & projects.
- On a time to time basis, work collaboratively through Merch team (Buyers / Products Managers) on initiatives as relevant to the Logistics network (either logistics or supplier / merch originated initiatives).
- Ensure periodic (eg. Vendor DIFOT, functional dashboards, logistics network performance / capacity) and ad hoc reporting & analytical (eg. Peak Season Vendor SC Risk Assessment) type activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Retail merchandise planning experience
- Advanced numerical and analytical skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. finance, mathematics)
- Experience with Mobile Dock
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Power BI Knowledge
