Job Description

  • Ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing of planned production, while meeting the production schedule with best quality at lowest possible costs for local and abroad business units as defined by JDE procedures.
  • Ensure that Production Section achieves / exceeds line productivity and efficiency targets. Responsible for conversion KPI: lines’ efficiency, yield, rework, overweight, scrap, line manning, and production volume.
  • Organize and control all maintenance and repair activities at the Section. Responsible for planning, budgeting, and monitoring the M&R and preventive maintenance activities to guarantee meeting production volume, plans and effective maintenance of assets.
  • Manage Production Sections’ teams and ensure people’s development and guidance. Ensure proper training for sections’ team members. Bear overall responsibility for establishing team culture at the lines by providing clear understanding of the requirements for the CIP culture (e.g. organization, behaviors /attitude and culture). Communicate plans and information to sections’ teams and follow through on all commitments.
  • Bear responsibility for productivity and CIP projects of the section. Responsible for the integration of              technical/maintenance expertise into the section. Responsible for ensuring an optimum planning and use of M&R (Maintenance & Repair) budget and preventive maintenance activities to be conducted in accordance with the plan.
  • Ensures compliance of the products with the approved specifications. Ensures that all quality (HACCP, GMP, and ISO) and safety regulations are in place, monitored and followed by corrective actions. Manage the production section in compliance with S&E programs and reinforce safe behavior of all conversion employees in the section. Acts as safety, environment, and labor leader in the Production section.
  • Responsible for budgeting, as well as for adherence to budget figures, tracking and reporting of deviations. Definition and tracking of conversion process relevant KPI as well as definition of capacity and line staff requirements as the basis for production planning and product conversion costing. Ensure payback calculation for projects and cost calculation for products in the section together with Plant Controller. Responsible for correct collection and registration of cost and line shift performance data.
  • Provides expected customer service for each MSU by producing according to production plan and production compliance based on target cost. Responsible for production planning and scheduling in the section following the demand requirements defined by S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning). Manage the interfaces with Procurement and suppliers in case if situation requires. Guarantees increase/decrease of production output by DVL planning (usage of temporary workers, seasonal staff, vacation planning) and assure contingency plans if needed.
  • Develops and implements the corporate CI culture across the production section, generating and putting into practice new ideas. To initiate and support continuous improvement in production, workers safety, and environmental protection.
  • Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behavior; maintain an environment where employees can speak up without fear of retaliation; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in production environment
  • University degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Economics (concentration in Food Industry is preferred)
  • Experience in FMCG business sector and/or in an international environment
  • Experience of managing people and function at lower level
  • Experience with Quality Systems and SSE
  • Good English skills & PC knowledge literacy
  • Very good command of MS Office applications – Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • High level of communication and organization skills / Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • SAP knowledge will be considered as an advantage.
  • Driving license
