Job Description

Join us as Global FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Intern at our international headquarters in Amsterdam, starting in September 2024. In this internship, you will participate in an automation project designed to build your financial reporting/analysis skills and to teach you how to make insights and dashboards for key stakeholders and business leaders.

Your key activities will be:

  • Partner with the Global FP&A team to understand JDE FP&A fundamentals used in day2day tasks & financial reporting
  • Work closely with Global FP&A analyst on CAPEX Project improving the process of collecting, validation, and facilitation of monthly approval flow for Capital Expenditure Requests
  • Acquire new skills & practical experience by getting familiar with using PowerBI
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate this into insights by creating Power BI dashboards
  • Automate ‘standards’ reports in Power BI to facilitate data availability for finance & non-finance stakeholders
  • Live the JDE values: ‘Entrepreneurship’ & ‘Simplicity’ by coming up with new analysis angles and drill down possibilities while working together with members of the team

Qualifications

Are you bursting with fresh ideas and a hunger for learning? We want you!

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English – Having some similar hands-on experience with food research activities is always a benefit. You should also have knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 6 months to this internship, preferably from the 2nd of September to February.
  • Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
