To start with, the position of R&D Product Development Specialist Single Serve sits comfortably in the Category Program Tassimo & Senseo team. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Product Development Specialist in Tassimo & Senseo you will be asked to lead complex projects to deliver nutrition, sustainability, innovation and productivity benefits.  For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

• R&D Project lead of one or more category projects
• Project risk management: analyze and define risk and implement mitigation strategies
• Timeline definition and management to ensure delivery on time and in full
• Resource estimation and management to ensure sufficiency to deliver
• Establish and manage clear communication strategy strategy: project updates, critical issues etc..

We are looking for an agile and fast learner project lead  with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have a certain level of experience with project management as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with project management and product development but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

• Food science, food technology or an engineering degree.
• 5+ experience in R&D product category with a track record of projects delivered. Technical mastery of liquid dairy, powders or coffee is a plus.
• Proficiency in designing and executing trials at bench top, pilot plant and plant scale
• Good numerical skills to analyse data, identify trends and draw conclusions to define next project steps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with cross-functional stakeholder alignment and management within and outside R&D (marketing, operations, finance) as well as external business partners (e.g. suppliers).
• Creative mindset to see possibilities beyond the status quo.
• Comfortable working in a high-pace dynamic environment
• Willingness to travel as required by project deliverables.
