Job Description

JDE USA, the global luxury tea and coffee brand is seeking an Ecommerce Senior Analyst to join our established Ecommerce team at our headquarters in Maynard, MA. This position is primarily responsible for growing our current business intelligence and reporting platform into a world-class analytics platform that our employees thrive on to drive productivity and profitability-based insights. The Ecommerce Senior Analyst will work closely with the Ecommerce, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams as well as external analytics solution development partners. Additionally, the Senior Analyst is responsible for proactively developing KPIs for the purpose of identifying trends and evaluating the success of the business’s initiatives. 

Experience working within ecommerce platforms, business intelligence tools, and related technology is required. 

Key Responsibilities 

Business Intelligence and Growth Analytics:

  • Oversee and conduct the conversion of data into insights that lead to informed business decisions, working directly with stakeholders and the business’s top management and executives within the assigned departments.  
  • Develop clear and well-structured analytical plans and analyze large data-sets which include: analyzing transactional data, performance marketing, customer profiling, and other data-sets and statistical analysis. 
  • Identify, communicate, and endeavor to resolve data gaps that impact the fulfillment of the business’s functional requirements. The Sr Analyst also identifies, evaluates, and documents potential data sources in support of project requirements. It is also their responsibility to build and operationalize processes that ensure timely data-loading and maintain accuracy and relevance of data used within the department. 
  • Translate business needs into high-level technical specifications and design, and develop deep understanding of the various business processes, data sets and BI deliverables. 
  • Play crucial role in shaping the business’s data infrastructure, inclusive of data-warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms. Manage BI pipelines and ELT process (extract, load, transform) for data warehouse to allow for efficient delivery to BI visualization platform. 

Ecommerce and CDP Expertise:

  • Use knowledge of the specific data available, forecasting/analysis methods and visualization capabilities to enhance requirements and provide insightful suggestions to business stakeholders. 
  • Email segmentation, building and deployment, building A/B testing criteria as well as measurement and reporting of results. 
  • Understand the present customer journey against the desired business outcome and participate in marketing experimentation design discussions to enhance eCommerce growth agenda and drive the desired outcomes. 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with analytics tools – Google Analytics (GA4), GTM, Microsoft Excel, SQL and Tableau; other programming languages (R, Python) a plus.  
  • Sufficient BI tool knowledge: understand and open to learn new business and marketing tech stack to build data 
  • Experience building propensity models, lookalike models, customer segmentation, and design A/B tests, execute multi-touch attribution algorithms that analyze consumer behavior data preferably in an e-commerce or retail setting. 
  • Cultivate data culture within and beyond the Ecommerce team. This will include but not limit to mentor/train junior analysts and knowledge share and transfer with teams across departments.  
  • Effective style of presenting solutions to senior executives and staff at varying levels across the organization.

  • Experience working with developers and working with agencies. 
  • 5+ years of professional working experience.  
  • BA/BS (Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Economics or related fields).
