Job Description
To start with, the position of Technology Solutions intern sits comfortably within the R&D Technology Solutions team at the international headquarters based in Utrecht. This team aims at creating a future with net-zero carbon conversion, better nutrition and industry leading cost base. We do this by using novel technology, processes and ingredients. We apply strong engineering and technology insight; discovering, developing, implementing and optimizing processes and ingredients. Being part of this team means you help build the technology of the future. Also, it is a great opportunity to grow as a young professional, develop project management & communication skills and learn about the world of coffee and tea. An incredible diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. And as a Technology Solutions R&D Intern you will be given full responsibility and accountability for projects from the beginning of your placement and you’ll have an opportunity to fully integrate and actually make a difference. For these positions we are recruiting for intern positions within the Coffee & Ingredients Technology programs respectively. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain.

Master student looking for a 6 months internship at our Utrecht Research and Development Center.
Preferable degrees include: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology & Food engineering.
You are highly motivated.
Excellent communicator, fluent in English.
Inquisitive, analytical, hands-on and prepared to work in a fast-paced, dynamic international environment.

After receiving your application we will do our utmost to give you quick feedback. Part of the recruitment procedure at JDE will be an online assessment, followed by interviews.
Internship Allowance
Based on a fulltime 40 hour workweek, the monthly internship allowance is € 450,- for a HBO student or € 500,- for a WO student, additionally, you will get paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
Monthly Commuting allowance: at JDE we offer a monthly commuting allowance for travelling to the office.
We offer a mileage allowance each day you come to the office (0,21 EUR per KM with a max of 50 KM single trip).
If you regularly travel to the office by public transport and the mileage allowance is not sufficient because of the relatively expensive single tickets, you can get compensated for your public transport tickets. There is no maximum amount but we kindly ask to choose for the cheapest way of travelling.
Should you need to relocate to the city of your based office (Amsterdam or Utrecht), you will receive a monthly relocation compensation of up to a maximum of € 175. In this case, the commuting allowance will be not applicable. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
