Job Description
To start with, the position of Global Strategic Sourcing Manager sits in the Global Procurement team. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for a strategic direction and delivery of best in class results in the Coffee Equipment and Cross Selling Non Food Items categories (Spend under responsibility is up to EUR 150 m). For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
- Develop robust global category sourcing strategies, lead execution and track benefits realization.
- Build effective relationships engaging with stakeholders across regions, functions and business units that maximise value and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and prioritise opportunities to deliver total cost of ownership savings across categories and drive the implementation of the plans to capture those opportunities
- Establish and maintain portfolio of strategic agreements and key supplier relationships to ensure longer-term capacity and material availability against business demand
- Oversee high level risk management activities (and gain risk management expertise) for respective category areas.
- Ensure compliance to internal policies & procedures and has a deep understanding of and manage compliance to the Combined Business Model.
Qualifications
We are looking for a pioneer with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have at least 6 years of relevant experience as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration your track record of delivering “best in class cost and cash results” and successful experience of leading cross functional teams that focus on the lowest total cost of ownership as a key target. But ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:
