Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced communications professional to join one of the most dynamic teams within the organisation.

Reporting to the Global Corporate Affairs Director, as a member of the Corporate & Government Affairs team, you will play a key role in bringing to life major company and brand milestones around the world. One day you are working with the sustainability team to launch a new water quality project in Vietnam, the next you are shooting the latest internal film back in Amsterdam with a member of the Executive Committee.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Partners with other team members on the development of strong communication programs that enhance the corporate story and brand reputation;
  • Translates sustainability initiatives into meaningful and compelling communications;
  • Focuses on Sustainability Communications, DE&I Comms, Digital communications and External communications
  • Responsible for managing JDE Peet’s Corporate Communications Channels (e.g. corporate websites and LinkedIn) and Digital Communication Platforms (e.g. Workplace and MS Teams);
  • Partners with selected global functions to upscale their functional communication agenda and create compelling communication materials that supports their strategy;
  • Participates in the early detection and resolution of corporate issues and crises;
  • Identifies opportunities for leaders to communicate their strategy and progress towards relevant internal and external audiences; 
  • Coaches senior leaders to become better company ambassadors;
  • Supports the creation of JDE Peet’s corporate communications drumbeat, bringing together internal and external communication opportunities to create a robust annual communications calendar together with the global team, other central functions and local market champions;
  • Identifies opportunities to celebrate success/ best practice sharing and translate these into compelling content.

For this role as a Global Communications Manager, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • A degree qualified Communications professional with more than 5 years commercial experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or Sustainability;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • Broad understanding of MS Office and digital communication platforms;
  • The ability to tell a compelling fact based story, that links back to a broader strategy;
  • Demonstrated experience working on the front line with media or internally as an on camera moderator;
  • A passion for all things digital and a natural ability to leverage technology to your advantage;
  • The ability to influence senior peers without direct authority, driving fast actions that generate business value.
